Customer Base International Marketing Manager – Paris

A leading and highly innovative International Internet Services Provider (ISP), our client is looking for an experienced CRM Marketer with excellent Customer Base analytical skills to lead and design the development and management of all Customer Base activities.

Working within the International Marketing team, this role is key to defining the marketing strategy across several European countries to achieve sales objectives, retention targets and support analysis, design and implementation of strategic cross-country projects.  The position has one direct report and two marketing representatives with dotted line reporting, based in other countries.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:           

At an international level:

  • Manipulate customer data into actionable insights that drive strategic cross-country marketing projects.
  • Contribute to the design of such projects through sound analysis of available customer data: Revenue distribution; customer lifetime value; sales forecasts based on natural business trends and expected impact of marketing actions on the existing customer base; business cases.
  • Support implementation liaising across departments as required: Marketing, Product, Research & Development, IT, Graphic Design, Customer Care etc.
  • Lead the design and contribute to the implementation and management of an effective customer base management plan across all brands, taking into consideration local market dynamics.
  • Lead the implementation of the customer marketing plan contributing to the creative development process, briefing and proofing campaigns, reporting and communicating results and planning for future activities, leveraging additional resources, and taking ownership of operational activities as required.
  • Provide support and feedback on best practices and how to optimise responses to marketing initiatives.
  • Manage direct reports.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Excellent analytical skills developed ideally, in established companies with a strong focus on customer retention and customer lifetime value increase.
  • Good knowledge of online and offline direct marketing techniques including email marketing.
  • Minimum 7 years working experience, of which 3-5 are in a customer base & CRM marketing role.
  • French mother tongue with fluent English.  [Requires regular liaison with peers across Europe and the production of presentations, briefs and customer communications in English.]
  • Effective working autonomously in an international environment, leading projects and cooperating with multicultural teams.
  • Strong influencer and presenter across a range of audiences including senior management.
  • Experience of working in an online company and of managing a broad range of customer communication initiatives.
  • Capable of working under pressure in a fast-moving environment to tight deadlines.
  • Strong team management skills.
  • Technically: Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, highly proficient in Excel & database mining.  Internet / Online skilled, used to tracking a range online-related KPIs.  CRM expert.

  • Some European travel would be required.
