Windows Desktop Applications Programmer – Barcelona Area

The Client

Our client, an innovative and successful advertising technology start-up now in the consolidation phase, offers a range of highly-effective income generation options to online advertisers throughout Europe and North America. Their expertise embraces targeted search traffic monetization as well as full management options for high traffic client webs. 

The Position

The company is seeking an experienced Windows Programmer to develop desktop applications in the different languages and toolkits available. (Visual Basic, C++, C#, .NET…)

In addition to analysis and programming, the job-holder will also be involved in Project Management and Planning tasks 

Candidate Profile

• Skilled Programmer with several years of experience developing desktop applications under Windows XP and Windows Vista
• Track record in successful development of different Windows applications
• With a passionate approach to development and the ability and desire to learn new tools and techniques quickly
• Experience and thorough knowledge of Desktop programming and awareness  of modern programming techniques in this environment.

Requirements

• Wide experience in Windows development. (VB, C++, .NET…)
• Additional experience and good level of competence with PHP, SQL and XML
• Expert in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc…)
• Good Project Management skills
• Good with deadlines

Bonus Requirements

• Experience developing toolbar applications for Firefox/Internet Explorer/Chrome…
• Experience linking desktop applications with online content and APIs.
