Senior Web Developer – Barcelona Area

The Client

Our client, an innovative and successful advertising technology start-up now in the consolidation phase, offers a range of highly-effective income generation options to online advertisers throughout Europe and North America. Their expertise embraces targeted search traffic monetization as well as full management options for high traffic client webs. 

The Position

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Senior Web Developer will be responsible for every step of new project developments, making a key contribution in each of the analysis, programming, testing, releases, and monitoring stages, and ensuring projects are delivered on time. As an influential member of the team, the Senior Web Developer’s contributions will be an important ingredient in the evolution of the company.

Candidate Profile

• Talented web developer, with excellent programming and project management skills
• Solutions-oriented, extremely organized, independent and with a passion for web development.
• Ability to plan the project  development, and deliver within established deadlines

 Requirements

• Academic background in programming and computer science for 3+ years
• Thorough knowledge of PHP and SQL with 2+ years of PHP programming experience
• Object-Oriented Programming knowledge and professional experience
• Solid experience and good all-round knowledge of HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX and DHTML
• Good knowledge of HTTP and TCP/IP protocols
• Good SysAdmin skills under UNIX systems
• Good knowledge of Apache and MySQL
• Past experience in several online projects and examples and references available
• Fluent English

• Experience with Memcached.
• Experience with Cacti.
• Web 2.0 development tools.
• SEO Experience.
• Experience with very high traffic web applications.
