Country Manager Italy – Travel – Short Breaks – Rome/Milan
Our client is the European leader for intermediation of leisure breaks and operates various brands across many geographical regions and is headquartered in France. The business is growing at an incredible rate with overall sales in 2007 of 160M and 250M euros in 2008 and a total headcount of 700 people.
We are seeking to recruit the Italian Country Manager for their division focused on thematic short-breaks. They already lead the market in France, Benelux and a large part of Germany and they are seeking an ambitious and dedicated individual who will enable them to achieve the same results in the Italian Market.

You will have:
- Deep knowledge of the Italian hotel and tourism sector
- Experience in the online e-commerce business, ideally in the tourism field is an important plus
- Great analytical skills are a must. You are used to deal with a complex and changing environment
- Commercial and entrepreneurial mindset
- Practice of usual IT tools (word, excel, power point)
- Education: MBA or equivalent
- Languages: Italian (mother tongue or bilingual) ; English (fluency) ; French is a plus
Your objectives:
- Manage full P&L for Italian point of sale
- Define and roll-out, with the operational help of HQ, the Marketing and Sales strategy and a commercial prospection plan
- Negotiate and follow-up of key accounts and B2B prospects, together with the director of production in HQ
- Proposal, discussion and control of objectives, budgets and results regarding sales and profits in Italy
- Implement transfers of competences and of necessary synergies between French and Italian organizations and teams
The position can be based in either Rome or Milan, with reasonable travelling to the Paris HQ.
Salary package is negotiable based on the relevant experience.
