Digital Marketing Manager – Ireland

SUMMARY

A renowned European Retailer is seeking a Senior Online Marketing Manager to develop and implement digital strategy for the Irish market.  Responsible  for all aspects of website content and, working closely with the Irish Marketing Team and UK Digital Team, you will develop and implement digital media activities driving traffic and growing our client’s presence and visibility online. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Web/Digital Strategy, Management & Implementation

  • Creation of Integrated Marketing campaigns with the Marketing Team – offline and online.
  • Be the online specialist / web advocate.  [Some technical understanding of online applications and web functionality is helpful.]
  • Be active in the digital world and be able to identify key opinion leaders to work and partner with, to increase effectiveness and achieve greater reach.
  • Identify, develop and implement online consumer marketing opportunities / initiatives, for example communications through email, SMS, online PR, viral campaigns; be aware of opportunities with SEM and SEO in particular Google Adwords; and be able to advise on content optimisation.
  • Mentor, train and lead production teams whether that be in-house or external.
  • Test and QA new applications for websites and digital campaigns.
  • Manage and co-ordinate the preparation of creative, including relevant and personalised copy and segmentation analysis for B2C campaigns (emails, SMS).
  • Promote the use of new and innovative technology, while compiling competitor reports in order to ensure that local online marketing activity is consistently at the forefront and relevant to local consumers.
  • Work with the central Digital and local Marketing team to integrate marketing, advertising & PR across all platforms.
  • Carry out research into local digital and consumer trends.
  • Provide strong reporting on local campaign analysis and ROI for all digital campaigns such as web, email, display advertising, buzz, online PR, partnerships, etc. and use analytics to better understand consumer behaviour and to target and optimise future campaigns.

 

 2. Database Growth/Maximisation

  • Grow the customer database through data capture at all possible points, working closely with other teams.
  • Development and management of Irish ‘Loyalty/Membership’ Clubs; building relationships with consumers to maximise results.
  • Building communities and reward programs.

3. Online presence

  • Develop visibility in social media / relevant sites such as: Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon, Facebook, MySpace, Delicious, tagging, blogs, Twitter, building and engaging with communities.
  • Research and monitor local buzz for social media sites such as Facebook, blogs, Twitter, and local equivalents.
  • Help monitor, organise and create video content for the website and blog, including uploading and placing on the various appropriate sites online.
  • Source local sites for online PR purposes (recommendation sites, directory listings, link building).

4. Management  (As required)

  • Train, manage and mentor members of the Marketing team.
  • Oversee the Marketing co-ordinators daily tasks: Keeping the sites constantly updated and fresh in relation to product, promotions, events, local areas of interest, as well as using creative copywriting skills to write new copy and respond to challenging questions posed by the public in forums, blogs or boards.
  • Manage production calendars for digital and ensure wider marketing, retail and graphic design teams know what deadlines they are working to.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Good understanding and experience of marketing, ideally, luxury goods Online.
  • Demonstrable experience in executing a wide range of digital campaigns.
  • Experience in data acquisition campaigns.
  • Understanding of technology, platforms, limitations.
  • Knowledge of e-marketing principles and methods.
  • Organised, able to plan, prioritise and put processes in place.
  • Strong communicator – able to share information at all levels.
  • Autonomous and able to work in a team.
  • Good managerial skills – able to mentor.
  • Able to think creatively and solve problems.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE

  • Experience of Offline Marketing campaigns.
  • Degree in Marketing or a related discipline.
