Manufacturing Director – Barcelona Area

The Role
A vacancy has arisen within the EMEA strategic business unit for an experienced Production Management professional who, as Manufacturing Director, will manage all aspects of Manufacturing, Commercial, Finance, Health, Safety & Environmental and People strategies at the Company’s plants in Martorell (Barcelona) and San Roque (Cádiz). With responsibility for over 100 employees, the Manufacturing Director will
- Evaluate and develop a strategy for implementing new manufacturing processes in line with corporate requirements and quality standards.
- Provide direction, clarity and communication to the Company workforce on change initiatives and standardization of processes and products.
- Ensure world-class product quality, delivery and after-care standards for customers
- Establish and maintain good industrial relations through example-led leadership
- Manage and encourage behaviours defined within the Company’s corporate philosophy

Candidate Requirements
- Technical Engineering Degree
- Technical Industrial Engineering experience
- HS&E Management experience
- Expert knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Strong understanding of Kaizen and 5S
- Business Management qualification/experience
- Project Management certification desirable
- Spanish and advanced English language skills
- Microsoft Office
- Advanced understanding of Management Information systems (e.g. shop logic, LX)
- Experience at leading multi-functional teams including; Commercial, Finance, quality HS&E
- Commercially capable of initiating negotiations with customers and developing new business
- A proven track record in leading production – using Lean manufacturing techniques
- Evidence of having managed a large change program in Manufacturing
- Evidence of initiating change that has enabled improved productivity and profit generation
- Evidence of developing teams to maximize performance
- Team Player, able to lead a team and be part of a team
- Excellent communicator and motivator of people across all functions
