Market Development Manager - Madrid

Our client is the leading web portal for the environmental industry world-wide, with over 1 Million users.  The portal has an unmatched wealth of industry-related information and resources, such as publications, events, articles, job postings, press releases & news, thus ensuring that professionals use Environmental Expert as a professional tool

As a Market Development Manager and important member of the team, you will have significant impact on the business`s growth and success.  You will manage accounts within assigned territories and industries by selling online marketing and advertising programs to new clients as well as sales of additional product offerings to existing clients including banners and newsletters.  Consistently close new business in a highly competitive inside selling environment

Responsibilities:

  • Establish & Reach all assigned revenue and sales goals for the German, Austrian and Swiss market
  • Prospect for new accounts through outbound sales calls, networking, market research, identifying new accounts and close sales
  • Sell online marketing and advertising programs to industrial/technical/engineering firms; maintain quality contacts with key decision makers; employ company resources as needed to close sales.
  • Manage existing accounts; expand current sales levels, understand changing customer needs.
  • Prepare complete, accurate, detailed reports and proposals within established timelines
  • Help develop and implement marketing plans which maximize sales opportunities

Profile:

  • Minimum two years B2B sales experience
  • Internet savvy and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Prior experience with online advertising sales preferred
  • Experience with making a large volume of outbound sales calls
  • Native verbal and written skills in German, plus a high level of English
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Able to maintain high energy and enthusiasm
  • Must have computer literacy, including familiarity in handling and maintaining a CRM database
