Sales Manager – Spain - Madrid
Our client, a fast growing, private company with revenues of $100m (FY2011). The group operates across Europe and North America employing 175 people in 11 countries. They sell market-leading critical technology to all the major cable operators worldwide and their growth is driven by increasing demand for media rich content and the exponential growth of the broadband cable market.
The company has grown rapidly through a combination of organic and acquisition growth with the company completing five acquisitions in recent years and it is planning to continue this growth over coming years with a clear vision for going public.
Some key clients include: Virgin Media, France Telecom, Liberty Global, Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Ziggo, ONO and Swisscom.
Overview
Reporting to the Southern European Sales Director, you will be responsible for sales, technical application and support of the company’s complete end to end product/solutions portfolio, third party products portfolio and for the identification of new products and solutions to provide to customers and new business opportunities. The role supports sales into Spanish customers T2, T3 cable operators and contractors of T1 operators.
Responsibilities
• Achieve the sales targets across the mix of the company´s core products and services through generation of sales and active searching of new business opportunities in the Spanish market
• Support the values of the company´s business proposition while establishing contacts and relationship with senior levels/decision makers within customer organizations T2, T3 and T1’s contractors
• Capture info and understand customer’s networks and their plans and understanding and identification of their needs
• Ensure that each client is effectively managed through the development, refinement and execution of comprehensive account plans and ensure a review of these plans on a regular basis to maintain their status and usage.
• Play an active role in the executive engagement within the key clients through regular customer meetings
• Provide solutions via existing products and offer tailored ones and obtain technical approvals of the customers for our products/solutions
• Train customer employees when needed for certain products/solutions and ensure that customer expectations are met
Requirements
• An in-depth knowledge of the company´s core products/solutions
• Knowledge and experience of broadband HFC cable and O.F. plants systems head-end to home
• Experienced in sales
• Pro-active approach
• Ability to prepare business cases to customers
Experience
• Previous experience in a Pre-Sales environment would be ideal
• Fluent English with native level Spanish
Education
• Degree in Telecommunications/Engineering
