Their revolutionary website is now the number one online reference point for couples looking for a headache-free way to plan, organise and finance weddings and honeymoons. Amongst a host of other practical solutions, the Company’s flagship service helps brides and grooms to create their own personalised wedding websites to facilitate and coordinate gift contributions from guests.

In line with the Company’s exciting expansion plans and dedication to continual innovation, a vacancy has been created for an expert in Web & Content Management System Development.

The Role

As owner of the Company’s CMS platform, the Senior Developer will contribute to the design and implementation of the Company’s web-based services, with a principal focus on the CMS system to be built on WordPress. The job-holder will be expected to work autonomously but also lead and collaborate with the rest of the Company in the innovation and creation of outstanding web applications. The Company is a start-up with a business model based on small teams and short development cycles, focused on delivery and quality. Every team member is expected to demonstrate a strong sense of priorities and a passion for excellence.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the Company’s CMS platform and ad-server solution

• Develop / debug / maintain web applications based mainly on PHP and MySql, working with Product Managers, Designers and System Architects.

• Mentor highly skilled junior colleagues

The Candidate Profile

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in creating and developing web sites and applications

• A minimum of 1 year’s experience at a top-notch online magazine as a Senior Developer or Software Engineer

• Good understanding of web technologies (HTTP, Apache, ningx) and with Unix/Linux

• Internet Business experience with high traffic volume

• Wide experience in PHP5 and OOP, MySQL, XHTML, HTML5, XML, CSS, JS

• Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment

• High level of English

• Strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Knowledge development under SCRUM methodology.
