Senior Project Engineer – Barcelona or Madrid
The Client
Our client, the Managed Services division of a big-name multinational telecommunications company, offers a wide range of customized enterprise solutions with particular expertise in private networks, global Tier 1 Internet backbone and related ICT solutions to enterprises worldwide. A position has been created within the Company’s Business Network Solutions division for a Senior Project Engineer.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Project Management & System Engineering, the Senior Project Engineer, working towards business KPIs and focussed on client satisfaction, will
• Provide technical designs according to customer requirements, create project plans and develop solutions
• Provide 2nd level support for customers and Network Operations Center teams
• Be responsible for managing network projects, contributing to improved overall project and service delivery lead-times and other business KPIs
• Establish a structured approach to projects delivery – creating and managing appropriate project teams
• Be the link in providing consistent information and updates for clients and Sales teams
• Assist the Sales team in determining optimal network solutions for existing customers, participating in client presentations and meetings
• Troubleshoot in provisioning and customer migrations
• Improvise and take the initiative in solving problems with service delivery, coordinating relevant teams
• Ensure new processes blend with existing working practices and methods, or supersede them seamlessly
• Co-work, co-operate with and mutually support other Project Management Team members as part of a proactive virtual team.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have
• Computer Science degree or higher education equivalent
• Valid Cisco CCNP accreditation
• Project Management accreditation
• Experience in contact with Juniper routers and JUNOS
• Fluent English and high level of spoken French
• Excellent coordination and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise, improvise and resolve
• An instinctive focus on quality in the delivery of services
• Strong documentation skills
