The Role

For its lively and quality-oriented team, the Company is seeking an enthusiastic, highly creative and conceptual Designer with a methodical, analytical and detailed approach, accustomed to exceeding expectations in a variety of concurrent projects, and with proven experience in producing imaginative, appropriate and functional digital and web design solutions.

Responsibilities

With key responsibilities for the coordination and administration of the design studio, the job-holder will

• Translate usability, functionality and product research into design solutions

• Communicate design strategy to key account stakeholders, developing designs based on feedback from project team

• Develop designs and development projects according to specific guidelines

• Design and produce marketing material

• Set up output files, providing accurate specifications to 3rd party suppliers and departments

• Prioritise deadlines, achieving scheduled dates and budgets for design tasks, while controlling workload administration, back-up procedures and studio maintenance

• Assist other team members in cross-skill development.

The Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have formal design and artistic qualifications, a degree or relevant industry experience and skills in

• Adobe Photoshop CS5

• Adobe Illustrator CS5

• Adobe Creative Suite CS5

• Typographic accuracy

• UI and user-centred design

• New media, rich media, social networking and mobile or game products

• Web design and solid knowledge of web and digital processes

• Web development skills in HTML, XHTML, (W3C), Actionscript, JavaScript and CSS

• Spoken and written English skills

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in

• Print and marketing design

• Advertising for print and TV

• Adobe Flash CS5, Adobe InDesign CS5
